Aurubis will continue its investments in major strategic projects to further expand its core business. In this context, our centralized Group Engineering Organization (GEO) serves as a key factor that provides our Group with the expertise, methodology and personnel for the successful implementation of strategic projects.

As part of our team, you will take on the role of Manager Large CapEx Projects (m/f/d) located in Sofia or Pirdop, leading complex large-scale projects with significant technical and commercial challenges. You will be fully responsible for the project from concept to successful delivery, guiding your team confidently through all phases of the structured stage-gate process. You will keep budget, schedule, and project goals firmly in focus while reporting directly to the project owners and steering committees.

Your Tasks

  • Taking full ownership of large-scale CapEx project delivery
  • Setting up, coordinating, and leading the project team
  • Ensuring compliance with all project requirements (legal, HSE, sustainability, quality, schedule, budget targets)
  • Communicating project status proactively to stakeholders and steering committees
  • Supporting the professional and personal development of the team
  • Besides leading the assigned Project Team and delivering your project correctly, you will also contribute to establish sound Project Management practices in Aurubis

Your Profile

  • Master’s or equivalent degree in industrial, mechanical, or process engineering
  • Several years of experience in managing complex process engineering projects (>€40M)
  • Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering large, complex projects successfully
  • Certification, experience or knowledge on PRINCE2 Methodology is an advantage
  • Ability to build, motivate, and lead teams
  • Willingness to travel internationally (Europe, North America)
  • Strong internal stakeholder networking skills
  • Fluent in English (C-level)
