As Executive Director Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing the strategic direction of the Aurubis Group. Working closely with the Executive Board and senior stakeholders across our international business, you will translate market insights into strategic action, lead high-impact initiatives, and help shape the future of one of the world's leading providers of non-ferrous metals and recycling solutions.

To strengthen our team at the Aurubis Dock in Hamburg's HafenCity, we are looking for a strategic leader who combines analytical excellence with strong business acumen and the ability to drive meaningful change across the organization.

• Shape the future of Aurubis by defining and continuously evolving the Group's strategic direction, priorities, and growth agenda.
• Translate market insights, industry trends, and competitive developments into actionable strategies and long-term opportunities.
• Lead and steer a high-impact portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring successful execution and measurable business outcomes.
• Support the coordination of strategic project inclusion in the Mid-Term Planning (MTP) process, contribute CapEx, resource requirements, and metal price forecasts to the MTP process.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Board and Strategy Committee, providing clear recommendations for critical business decisions.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across international teams, ensuring strategic initiatives deliver sustainable value across the Group.
• You are responsible for managing the Aurubis Strategy department by managing the team resource pool and supporting the development of the strategy team while continuously advancing Aurubis' corporate strategy processes and capabilities.

• Completed Master’s degree, preferably MBA.
• Consulting experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm to at least Senior/Engagement Manager level.
• Broad functional business understanding and experience, with exposure to Industrial sectors, ideally metals and mining sector International project management experience paired with outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• As an effective manager, you are well organized, stress resistant and able to manage your workload, ensuring the most efficient use and allocation of your time.
• Inspirational leadership style with excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and intercultural communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional German language skills are highly valued.
