Our focus is on strengthening our relationships with customers and suppliers: We develop innovative digital services and identify and analyze trends and relevant start-ups. Furthermore, we design digital business models for the market. In our daily work, we closely collaborate with internal stakeholders and external business partners. I love that we have the opportunity to engage with various experts, work quickly and iteratively, and focus on solutions rather than obstacles. Our users are always at the center of what we do. We assess our development progress based on functionality, usability and performance. Through interviews and tests, for example, we regularly check whether and how we can create real value. It's also great that our team has very flat hierarchies, allowing everyone to contribute their expertise.

Aurubis Business Partner Portal

With the Business Partner Portal, we're digitalizing the relationship with our customers and suppliers. Our work is grounded in the lean startup approach: We develop user-centered solutions based on agile principles. Instead of aiming for a perfect, finished product, we gather early feedback from our customers with our minimal viable product (MVP) and continue to improve it iteratively. As product owners, we're responsible for the entire software development process, capturing the requirements from both internal and external stakeholders and coordinating the development teams.

B2B online store for selenium products

We developed and implemented an online shop for a subsidiary of the Aurubis Group that produces high-quality selenium from copper production residues. This platform leverages data analysis to enhance access to the global market, establishing itself as an additional sales channel.

Identifying use cases for generative AI

Generative artificial intelligence, large language models, and applications like ChatGPT are making waves across various industries, impacting the metals industry and, consequently, Aurubis. This prompted an evaluation project within the Digital Innovation Lab to explore different use cases of generative AI alongside various departments. The aim is to discover ways to harness this technology to drive innovation and create value.
