• How and when did your career at Aurubis Bulgaria begin?
  I’ve been working at the plant in Pirdop since its privatization, and my entire career is tied to Purchasing department in the organization. I started as an assistant in the "Supply and Logistics" department during a period when new systems and a work organization aligned with market principles were being introduced. I completed additional training in Commercial Law and Market Economy, followed by a CIPS certification in the standards of the Purchasing profession.
  Over the years, the portfolio of deals diversified, and I encountered various teams, which gave me invaluable experience and prepared me for a successful career. I participated in several investment programs in Pirdop, which were implemented with different management styles and approaches.

• Why did you choose Aurubis Bulgaria, and what do you value in the organization?

  I chose to return to Aurubis because the company offers unique opportunities to work on large-scale projects related to implementing new technologies and optimizing production processes. The company's expansion and strategic vision for the future, particularly in Bulgaria, open doors for collaboration with leading industry partners, making the work here extremely dynamic and challenging.
  Currently, I am involved in three major projects related to increasing Aurubis Bulgaria's production capacity. Each is at a different stage of execution, with overlapping schedules. This requires not only technical expertise but also significant flexibility and adaptability, as we rely heavily on available resources. In this context, the team spirit and support among colleagues in Pirdop are key to success. They create a cohesive environment where challenges are faced with confidence and determination.
  One of the things I especially value at Aurubis is the opportunity to share knowledge and experience between different teams. This not only enriches my personal experience but also contributes to our collective success. In few companies is the transfer of experience from one project to another seen as a key advantage, rather than just additional workload.
  Additionally, I greatly appreciate the company's commitment to continuous employee training and development. • What is your current role in the company, and what gives you the most satisfaction?

  My current role as Contract Manager for major projects at Aurubis Bulgaria is crucial to the realization of the projects. Procurement in such large-scale projects is a complex process that requires the selection of reliable partners, as well as precise management of risks and changes. Market conditions and the political landscape often shift, affecting the development of companies and production costs.
  Just like Aurubis, many of our contractors have evolved in recent years, so every significant deal starts with building the right procurement strategy and conducting a detailed risk assessment. With the creation of a corporate procurement structure and a unified project procurement team, we now have better visibility and analysis of the resources the market offers.
  My primary responsibility is to ensure the procurement process is executed at the necessary pace to secure goods and services in accordance with the project schedule and within the approved budget. I am actively involved in drafting contracts and overseeing their execution.
  What brings me the most satisfaction is the dynamism and challenges of working on these projects. Successful projects that move into production with high quality and efficient processes are not only a testament to the work done but also a true reward for all those who contributed to their realization.

• Who are you, and what do you enjoy doing outside of Aurubis Bulgaria?I love art and am glad that in Bulgaria, there are now interesting events organized at a very high level that evoke emotions but also provoke new thoughts. At the same time, I am deeply curious about technological advancements and enjoy observing how they transform every aspect of our lives.
  I strive to achieve balance and self-awareness because I believe that our perception of the world depends on us. I think we should responsibly influence the people and the environment around us.

• How do you see your future in the company and beyond? What do you dream of?
  In the future, I hope Aurubis Bulgaria continues to implement successful projects, not only in increasing production capacity but also in managing change. I believe it is essential to prepare ourselves and others for the adaptations that today’s world demands, and that this will be a key factor in both our success and the one of the company.
  I dream of realizing many projects where I can apply the knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated and have the opportunity to share them with colleagues entering the profession. I’d love to see more women and young people at the table for negotiations and in leadership positions in companies and government institutions.

• What would you say to your future self?
  Today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today.

  I’m excited about the realization of the projects I’m working on, but I equally value the opportunity to walk this path together with you. Each team member has knowledge and skills that are part of our collective success..
